Once again, it seems that Driver thinks he's more important than he actually is. Poor him and his pet videographer think it's strange that I am present on sites dealing with Thanet issues, yet the poor lambs don't find it unusual that Driver pop up where ever the media may appear. Yet STILL he censors his blog, you have to wonder why don't you, hypocritical, or just a 5th rate coward of a "politician"?
Difference is, I am not promoting myself, have no wish to, and have no political career to promote.
Oh BTW, Tongue, why do you think I would care about the fact that occutards think I am someone else? They are utterly clueless, and have been since the 1st day they became the funniest thing in Thanet.
Am i part of the zionist plot? Get back to making the home videos dear, I'm sure the kids will tell you they are professional, but I think 4th rate is a far more apt description :-)

Problems on March 6th
Apparantly we need to stock up on the 6th, apparantly the fight against the world elite will get real then! It must be, there are 796 people going! That would mean they are only outnumbered 60,000,000 at BEST.
International General 7 Day Strike - The People V's The Global Elite - OCCUPY YOUR CAPITAL CITY'S
I am concerned, I may actually injure myself laughing!
10am March 6th, don't forget HAHAHAHAHAHA

10am March 6th, don't forget HAHAHAHAHAHA
From the delusional side of life...
Haven't stop laughing at this yet, simply had to share with an audience bigger than the 3 that have read it so far! Enjoy
"Could this is the biggest news story ever that the main stream media (MSM) won't report on?Iran has developed technology that will make all military weapons useless. It will provide free power for all and cure illness,They are also negotiating with America for PEACE, that's where Clinton was when her Brain was supposed to of exploded"

The hypocrisy of some elected officials
Well, how silly of me! As I grew up, I thought people elected to government could be trusted to look after the best interests of the people that elect them, and to treat the electorate with respect.
Sadly, along with never being an airline pilot, marrying Farrah Fawcett, not owning a Lambourgini (yet ;) ), not living in Monaco or having enough cash to have to or having a nice pool to relax in on a hot day. politicians did/do not live upto expectations.
Now, not living upto expectations, and simply being a blustering hypocritical bullshiter I believe are 2 different things, enter Cllr Driver!
Whilst whining like a small child having had their dummy removed, about saying what he likes, when he likes, he instigates 100% censorship on his site, to ensure that he isn't shown up for the dishonest opportunist chancer we all know him to be.
When Driver "bravely" posted restricted documents, ever wonder why he told everybody and their brother he was doing so LONG before doing it? To ensure that whether TDC chose to stop him or otherwise, he got maximum punlicity, or am i being cynical.....
Having insighted criminal damage then not having the balls to admit it, and seek forgiveness, he then attacks all and sundry including myself, in an obvious attempt to distract from the consequences of his actions. Not content with that, having posted some laughable BS on his blog, he then attempts to be practising "satire".
Well lets see What satirical gems has Driver treated us to;
"Liar liar councillor Poole's pants on fire"
"OBESE, OLDER MEN GAPPLING IN CESSPIT"
to name but 2 literary gems! Not content with that, publishing p[ictures from his disturbing masterbatery library!
It seems like politicians have sunk even lower than my dashed hopes for later life, but then, as we know, Driver has no place in politics or public life.
Why is it again that he chooses to 100% censor posts on his blog....

You have to laugh at Driver
Once again, the most tragic and desperate politician in Kent humiliates himself for our amusement, and his poor families shame.
I think he genuinely believes that only priests have abused their power over people down the years.
That's the problem with those of limited intellect that manage to get elected, they are CLUELESS about the real world, as Driver proves daily.

I think Driver's hard drive could do with examination...
Accompanying pictures from Drivers very own masturbatory collection, I
see that Driver once again embarrasses himself by trying to sling mud
to cover his support of criminal damage along the seafront.
Not only is Driver unable to correctly identify that the 2nd picture contains females, and is thus out of place in his private little picture hoard, it seems he simply cannot understand that the minute following he had when he dishonestly represented himself for election, will vapourise as it did when he raised £7 out of the £5000 required to further his laughable ambition to become police commissioner.
I look forward to laughing in his face when he is bounced out of office in the near future.
Back under your rock Driver.

Oh dear, Seems Driver has lost what mind he had.
SO funny, from Drivers last self serving published drivel, speaking on animal exporters;
"The Council rightly banned these criminal animal abusers from Ramsgate Port and its a shame they had to let them back"
If the council "rightly banned" them from the port, how is it that they "had to let them back"? This is the problem when intellectually challenged clowns such as Driver are given a little power. They charge off making huge statements about fighting this or challenging that, making rash decissions that have consequences they are WAY to devoid of IQ to understand, but they don't care, it's not them that will have to put up with the consequences!
The ban of legal trade at the post, and consequent legal and compensation costs, the demonstration that he his understandign of contract and or property law, or even basic economics is exceeded by that of my pets, all underline that Driver shouldn't be allowed to ride on buses alone, let alone allowed into the public gallery of the council chamber, but NEVER again must this clown be elected to anything other than toilet cleaning, and only then under slose supervision.

Driver finally being dealt with!
A welcome fate for cllr Driver |
It seems that finally Driver is being taken to task for his unending, incorrect, self serving, self indulgent bullshit! Finally the council leader takes the joke that is Cllr Driver to task for abusing his position!
Lets hope that he is stripped of his position on a committee that he has turned into a joke whilst pursuing his own pet indulgences, and that he is taken to task in the High Court, perhaps then he will understand that making accusations against people, whilst abusing the privilege is unacceptable, and that his woeful attempts to promote himself, via any passing bandwagon, is abhorrent, and he should crawl back under the stone he crawled out from under.
Perhaps in future he will promote himself via his favourite form of vandalism, graffiti!

More grandstanding frim Driver..
Don't you just love the way Driver tried to muddy the waters, and shield
himself from consequences of his actions by publishing documents which
he glibly claims are restricted, but no doubt will add nothing to the
knowledge that already exists surrounding Pleasurama!
There really is no level to low for the dishonest clown that is Driver to be unwilling to stoop to.

Driver twists and turns on the hook!
Sadly Cllr Driver, whilst whining that he should be allowed to say what her likes when he likes, supporting and encouraging criminal damage for instance, he chooses to censor any and all posts on his self indulgent blog that point out the truth of his shallow self promotion.
Hence his actions must be exposed elsewhere, here for example. From the oppotunist chancer's blog;
Sorry Driver, no, that is at BEST economic with the truth, in reality an outright lie. Your actual post;
"Personally I support grafiti & think there should more of it! Since writing began 20-30,000 years ago people have been drawing and writing on walls. It's human nature. You can't stop it. Grafiti can be incredibly funny and it can also be highly political, helping to bring down tyrants. It can also be very artistic too. Think Banksy!. So I fully support the anti-Pleasurama grafiti which has appeared on the Great wall of Ramsgate. It's in the right place at the right time and there should be more of it to expose the scandal behind the wall."
If Driver actually put his hands up, admitted he'd made an appalling error of judgement, and apologised unreservedly, I might almost feel sorry for him. But as we know, that will never happen and it really was inevitable that the opportunistic chancer's ill judged bluster would one day come back to bite him, it's just a shame that the efforts of artists and children had to find themselves in the firing line that Driver has created.
I am more than happy to correct the dishonest claim you make to have given the "full picture", and once again I call on you to look up "personal integrity" in the dictionary, and resign in shame, having encouraged the criminal damage that flowed from your ill considered bullshit.
And when you fail to understand the term "personal integrity" and fail to take the only course of action of to any self respecting politician, whose comments have lead to such crimes, I call on the police to investigate your instigation of a criminal and TDC to take action against you through teh standards procdure, whose purpose is to deal with such appalling behaviour that it seems you think is perfectly acceptable.

Once again Cllr Drivers actions cause harm to Thanet!
Well there's a shock, once again Driver opens his mouth before engaging what passes for his intellect. He blithely states, he supports graffiti, and encourages people to add to the graffiti that has appeared on the wall at Pleasurama, then he seems surprised when some choose to plaster the art work there with graffiti!
Seriously, what did he he expect, people to limit themselves to painting comments supporting his latest bandwagon, in an area of the wall he found acceptable...
This clown Driver encouraged criminal damage, and as a councillor, provided official encouragement for such criminal damage. He is culpable in this crime in a role at least as serious as aiding and abetting, encouraging or enabling. I hope the relevant authorities take appropriate actions against loudmouth Driver, and that someone takes action against him in the council.
As we all know, he doesn't have the personal integrity to remove himself from the council for such appalling lack of judgement, it should be done for him, with as little publicity as possible!

Thoughts on Pleasurama and Exhibition spaces in Ramsgate
As
an exhibition space, i fear that the pleasurama site is hamstrung by
the fact that parking is negligible, a rail link is not close by, there
is little viable access for heavy vehicles, and large scale bus/coach
traffic would also present a serious challenge, given the limited road
space along the promenade.
I would certainly agree that a venue/exhibition space would be hugely advantageous to Ramsgate, but that the Pleasurama site would be the wrong location, given the above issues along with the fact that it would only be usuable in good weather, and it's hasn't really got a linkage with the beach, and what people visiting the beach look for.
Here's a thought, you know the old bakery site on Margate Road? Not only is teh site VAST, it has huge historical context, great industrial architecture, great links, and would make a fantastic indoor/outdoor exihibition space, with some space given over to somekind of museum to the site's/Thanet's history along the lines of Chatham Dockyard.
Would storage also be a good use of the tunnel, which is already subject of a group trying to make it a viable attraction in it's own right? Are you familiar with Chislehurst caves in South London? Over the years, that has been a viable business and attraction as a nightclub/party venue/cave tours/wedding venue etc etc, that would surely be a better use of that asset, along with a more consumer orientated persuit for the Pleasurama/Pavillion site.
I would however suggest that it would be HUGELY advantageous to link in someway the Pavillion and Pleasurama sites in some way. I'm not quite sure how yet, I haven't come up with something clever with that yet lol, but they offer a natural link that might offer something unique in a seaside setting.
The opportunity is there to make something that will generate footfall tourism and income for Thanet, that opportunity should be grasped with both hands!

The future of Ramsgate and Thanet
The
decline of the British seaside resort is very interesting. If you look
at where has prospered, and where has suffered, invariably, the ones
that have suffered most, are the ones that have tried to guess what
people want, and give it to them, and those that have prospered have
done the opposite, and simply been content to be what they were.
Thanet is a great example. Take Margate. It changed itsef from a nice little town into the southern version of Blackpool, built dreamland and had some good years. What happened when people tired of kiss me quick hats, and a small stationary fair, in the face of cheap Spanish holidays, with far better accomadation than Margate had to offer, Alton Towers, Chessington, Thorpe Park etc? It simply couldn't/wouldn't change, and so began it's slow decline and death as a seaside resort. A nice beach is simply not enough!
The same is true of Ramsgate, Pleasureama, the Hoverport, the Pavillion, the port, Model village etc etc ALL died because times and what people want change. No matter how much people may not like it, the opinions, needs, wants and requirements of the great British public are fickle, and unless somewhere is able to accomadate change it will die.
Take Broadstairs, it has never tried to be anything other than a quaint seaside town. No fairground, no port, no huge amusement centre, just a nice little quaint seaside town. It's the ONLY place in Thanet that's thriving!
Margate now has the Turner, that is bringing people, and people are the life blood of any town that relies on tourism. Without footfall to capitalise on, everything else is meaningless. From that base, properity can flow. Starting 80 artists in an artists qtr is all very laudable, but it employs at best 100 people, and only a very few talented people can be self employed artists. Don't get me wrong, that investment has it's place, but so does the likes of the Turner, hotels, flats, supermarkets, amusements, restuarants, venues, pubs bars etc etc etc.
To concentrate on a single particular sector is folly, as is when spending large amounts of cash trying to make a town attractive, spending it on something that could and probably will become "out of fashion" some years down the line, at which point, it will be held on to for far to long, until it eventually collapses, a great case in point being Dreamland/Ben Bon brothers.
The most successful holiday towns have either NEVER changed, or embrace change. To try to hold onto what once worked, hoping it will again will only ever be a mistake.

Cllr Driver sinks to new lows!
After his stunningly insightful, witty, intellectual and wonderfully argued post in his blog and Facebook group, entitled "liar liar cllr Poole's Pants on fire", followed by his indignation at beings asked not to reveal that he is being investigated by TDC for breaches of standards (making allegations he can't prove whilst protected from legal action by only making those allegations in the council chamber, and refusing to make them else where despite being challenged to do so), we are treated to his stunning hypocrisy.
In his blog, he bravely states "I hate secrecy in public affairs. I can't be doing with it", to right! Free speech is important, and comments challenging elected officials should be answered not side stepped and ignored. So imagine my surprise when I tried to make a post on Cllr Driver's blog when I saw the following message
"your comment will be visible after approval" (check out the attached screen cap)
WOW! So let me get this straight, Cllr Driver expects to be able to say what he likes, when he likes, where he likes (so long as he doesn't have to back it up, or face legal action of course), yet he has decided that it's perfectly acceptable for him to censor posts that challenge him and his highly questionable actions, whenever he see's fit!
Oh dear, I'm not sure whether Cllr Driver is simply misguided, a fool, a hypocrite or simply a bare faced liar. What ever the truth proves to be, he has demonstrated why he has no place in public office, and should immediately consider his position.
TDC has enough to contend with, without those who chose to grandstand for their own engrandishment, as Cllr Driver does on a day to day basis.

Can ANYONE trust Cllr Ian Driver...
Seems Cllr Driver is happy to prostitute his alliances where ever he thinks his political "career" will obtain the most benefit.
Poor ole Cllr Worrow, left high an dry by Cllr Driver slinking quietly away. Not sure which would be worse, being the target of one of Cllr Driver's mud slinging, opportunist, sensationalist and totally unevidenced attacks, or one of those he cozies upto.
Poor ole Worrow, maybe now he's resigned, his constituents will be able to have the representative they voted voted!
"I was astounded to find out via the Thanet District Council public web site that Councillor Ian Driver has left the Thanet Independent Group to join Cllr King’s Independent Group. I have been concerned for weeks, due to Cllr Driver’s failure to respond to my emails and voice messages, and I am both surprised and shocked that he has not had the common courtesy to tender his resignation in writing."
Cllr Driver is SHAMELESS in his attempts at self promotion, seems he will promote himself no matter what, how many times must we watch his childish, self indulgent political games..
"Given the balance of power, perhaps it's time an independent was given a seat on the Cabinet."
Priceless!

Ramsgate - How has it come to this!
I LOVE Ramsgate, I always have since my 1st trips to Broadstairs and here when I was a kid on day trips from London. Beautiful beaches, safe sea, lovely harbour with boats I dreamed of owning when I grew up, pleasurama (or whatever it was called in those days), walking over to the beach, and wondering why we couldn't have one of those little tent/chalets on the promenade! Ice cream, amusments, swimming in the sea, happy happy days. When we moved to Ramsgate, it was like a dream come true, all my holidays on my doorstep!
Oh how quickly it all changed! The Marina pool was already gone, Nero's if not gone, very nearly. I remember watching in disbelief as TDC went about the destruction of Thanet as a destination for holiday makers and day trippers. Pleasurama - burnt, hoverport - lost, port - lost (regained more in spite of TDC than because of it), museums - gone, Grotto - gone, Manston airshow - gone, then back, then destroyed by TDC, Pavilion - gone, shall I go on?
Ramsgate sands as a destination is now a joke. If you have anyone in your party unable to walk the 1/4 mile from the marina car park, you have no chance, assuming you can afford the mugging you will suffer when you pay for a ticket to park! Museum is FINALLY open again, in spite of TDC, how can it possibly take 6 YEARS to negotiate a lease in anything other than TDC world! The outer harbour is constantly silted, giving it a horrible reputation, how much more can the council possibly squander!
There are signs of hope! Harbour Parade has, with no help from TDC, turned itself into a vibrant and interesting destination, and a great place to spend an evening, along with a walk around the harbour. But that's about it! The Pleasurama site is STILL unfinished, partly through the inept handling of the development, partly of the inept handling of the planning issues, partly through the property crash, partly through unreasonable expectations.
This has resulted in a well meaning and spirited group trying to urge the site to be finally dealt with, along with the pavilion, and rightly so! As seems par for the course in Thanet, there isn't really a defined outcome that they want to see, other than they don't like the developer, and they want SOMETHING there!! I support their aims in that the Pavilion and Pleasurama sites must be bought back into use without further delay, but they have attracted some of the usual suspects who always bring discredit to groups such as this.
From amateur "forensic accountants" making abhorrent attacks on people's families (is that appropriate from the director of a company dealing with property rentals for housing associations that it could be argued could benefit from this development not going ahead...) to serial protesters that would only be happy if Thanet returned to the 50's, and was made to stay there! Don't get me wrong, by far the majority of the group are well meaning, bright and passionate about these sites, as am I, as is only right, but a healthy dose of realism is required along with a little bit of expectation management.
There MUST be some joined up thinking, to present a coherent and viable alternative if the group is to be treated with the seriousness it deserves! You cannot on the one hand argue that the site should not be sold too cheaply at a figure around £3.3 million+ as it doesn't represent good value for the tax payer, then in the next post argue that it's best use is as a site for a slide and skate park! That flies in the face of not only reason, but basic economics!
Flooding? There are houses along the 2nd half of Marina Esplanade that seem to have survived with little more than sandbags for as long as I have lived in Thanet, nobody has drowned to my knowledge, just as when the station and Pleasurama were there, no biblical flooding then either! Flooding is simply a nothing argument, put forward by the representative for the guild of bandwagon jumpers councillor Driver, who will support anything he thinks will justify his existence, is there any issue that clown won't jump on to try to gain some column inches!
The same goes for the Pavilion. Turn THE prime beach front site, that is currently up for sale at in excess of £300k and requires in the order of £2million spending to refurb it into a community centre, really is simply a non starter.
Just in those 2 suggestions alone, the idea is that the council turns it's back on income of £3million+, decides to spend another £2million, not withstanding the cost of the Pleasurama skatepark, then to somehow find funding every year to keep both running, with the loss of the no doubt considerable council tax it currently receives from both properties!
Why not combine the 2 sites, and offer them for sale either on a very long lease, or the freehold on completion of any project, so both could be developed as a combined project that could EARN Ramsgate income, rather than a millstone around the necks of taxpayers, demanding funds to keep it going every year?
I TOTALLY support the fight to get something done with both sites, and there are some with some great ideas! The tunnels plan, fantastic, the suggestion that the Pavilion should house somekind of theatre aswell as other commercial enterprises, perfect!
But to remain credible, the arguments against the current plan MUST be joined up, cogent and supportable, plans MUST be viable, not only to build, but to maintain in the medium/long term, and to give any project any chance of success, TDC must have NO involvement in it after planning consent (preferably even at the planning consent stage, but sadly there is no option there) to suggest otherwise is a nice dream, but will always remain just that.
I would urge those that do care about Ramsgate and it's seafront to join the facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/516220578418850/532034363504138/?comment_id=532040903503484¬if_t=group_comment and voice your support.
I will probably have been booted out for not towing the line, but I will continue my best efforts to try to help Thanet in general, and Ramsgate in particular from my blog. Lets remember, the Pleasurama site has been under concrete since it was reclaimed initially as a boatyard before it was a station!

3 stooges, stooge 1 - John Worrow
I barely know where to start! From the loss of an Olympic sized swimming pool, the murder of a commercial port to the destruction of Thanet in general, and Ramsgate in particular is stunning in it's ineptitude!
But lets try to keep the scope of ineptitude manageable, and just look at some of the councillors that Thanetians are currently shackled with.
John Worrow - It never ceases to amaze me that this man manages to drag the issue of sexuality into any and every subject that ever rears it's head! Since being elected representing the Conservative party, then promptly resigning, but not having the courage to seek re election under his REAL banner, he has sought to turn local Thanet politics into the centre for the discussion of ANY issue related to the LGBT world!
Before the stunning revelation that an ex colleague, none to pleased about Mr Worrow's less that honourable actions, made an ill judged, and unpleasant phone call to Mr Worrow, I had NO idea as to his proclivities whatsoever, and cared even less! Oh how that was to change!
He has made it his mission to made abundantly clear to everyone in Thanet where his sexuality lays, whether they wanted to know or not! Police investigations about answerphone messages, pointless, irrelevant and frankly ridiculous campaigns and votes on gay marriage, accusations of "homophobia" against anyone who even dares to look in his direction have followed with a regularity that a piano teacher would be proud of, culminating in ANOTHER police investigation over a death threat letter! For someone SO thin skinned, you have to wonder why he chose politics, but then having watched his naked self serving, publicity generating childishness, it becomes apparent he simply wants attention, and to blame his failed political career, whose trajectory has now assumed the that of a lift with the cable cut, on homophobia!
Thank god he has now announced he won't be standing in the next election, save the hassle and expense of putting his name on a ballot paper! His latest antics, culminating in his announcement is comedy itself! Having accused everyone and their brother in the council homophobes, being called out for doing so, being found guilty, and now writing to the Kent Police commissioner to seek an enquiry, he now resigns, and in doing so, invents a new word!
"Independent John Worrow, who represents Birchington South and is bisexual, said the "heterocentric attitude of intolerant Conservatives" had led him to the decision"
WTF is "hetrocentric"? Perhaps expecting the council to deal with the VAST majority of Thanetians before it's minority groups? Priceless, this clown has wasted SO much council and Police time, he should be kicked out of office, and charged with at the very least wasting police time! The ONLY person making an issue of this clown's sexuality is HIM, the rest of us, NOBODY CARES! He can't even retain the support of Ian Driver, well known for jumping on ANY passing bandwagon that gives the poor man any exposure in the media whatsoever.
This quote, from Thanetlife sums up the pitiful state that Thanet politics has been reduced to by the 3 stooges, Worrow, Driver and Cohen.
"Most hard-working local councillors are now heartily sick of important business being regularly hijacked and dragged into the playground to indulge the personal interests and vendettas of Cllr Ian Driver, Cllr Jack Cohen and Cllr John Worrow. In a minority administration however, Labour is paralysed and while it postures and preens about its policies, everyone knows it is intellectually deficient and lacks true substance. In order to stay in place and enjoy the temporary sense of political power, its Cabinet have no choice but look the other way when the fabulous three, run riot through the Council Chamber"
With these clowns disrupting any meaningful council work, and previous councillors facing criminal charges, is it any wonder that Thanet is dead on it's butt!
Why oh why can Thanet not have a competent and non inept council!

Welcome to my blog
Welcome to the blog that says outloud what you have up until now only thought quietly to yourself! I have the REAL WORLD view on many Thanet issues, the view that the silent majority really thinks, but the noisy minority seek to silence!
Got a view about Tesco's proposed site in Margate, Pleasurama, The Pavillion in Ramsgate, Dreamland, the DIRE actions commited by certain councillors who chose not to represent the views that people THOUGHT they were voting for? Come back soon, these are just a few of the subjects I will be covering in the next few days/weeks.
